Terry Todd, who passed away in July of 2018, and his wife Jan have created a special place where Longhorn sports history is shared with all Longhorn sports fans.

Terry Todd was the director and is the founder, along with his wife Jan . H.J. Lutcher Stark Center has the world’s most extensive collection of materials relating to sport and physical culture. The Stark Center serves as a library and research center, supporting research on health and performance, and the significance sports contribute to culture and society.

Terry and Jan’s story is in the Que. If you visit the Que, please check-out the video of Jan Todd on the Johnny Carson show where Jan is celebrated as one of the strongest women in her weight classification.

The History of Longhorn Tennis – Notice the two women in the middle proudly wearing the letter “T” earned for their accomplishments.

6 months ago with the help of many Longhorn former track student athletes, the TLSN historical website updated the history of Longhorn track and field.

It is now time to do the same for the history of Longhorn tennis. Longhorn Sports History is told best by those who lived it. If you are a former Longhorn tennis player, your photos and comments are needed to update the the women and men’s tennis section on the TLSN Longhorn sports historical site.

Jan Todd has agreed to allow a representative of TLSN to visit the Stark Center Tennis archives to capture special moments that celebrate the greatness of Longhorn tennis.

Also assisting in this project is Jim Allison who has a wealth of information on Longhorn tennis history. Information he will chronicle over the next 18 months.

I hope that other former Longhorn tennis team members will join in this project by notifying other Longhorn Tennis members of this project. Longhorn history needs to be preserved to inspire both present and future Longhorns.

There is a new book about Earl Campbell written by Asher Price at the book stores and online.
