Parker died in a traffic accident in the summer of 1974 on Loop 610.  His brother-in-Law said the Parker was so excited about starting at UT that year and had worked really hard to make it happen.  He continued talking and said Parker was a wonderful brother-in-law — he was so kind and caring.  He loved all things Texas, especially the music (Waylon, Willie, Jerry Jeff) and of course he loved UT.  Pending more information
