In 2002-2003. Texas became the first division I team in NCAA history to have:

Tennis reached the sweet 16

Indoor track was 9th

Outdoor track was 21st

Cross Country was 23rd.
Every men’s sport this year qualified for the NCAA postseason competition and all were in the top 25.

Texas men’s and women’s basketball teams made the Final 4 in 2003. The women lost to Connecticut and the men lost to Syracuse.
