Eric and Shay Holle past and present Longhorn brand builders

In mid-December 2024, Shay Holle made basketball history. She became winningest player in Texas program
history with over 120 wins. Her dad, football Longhorn legacy player Eric Holle, was in attendance to celebrate the occasion. Eric was a defensive end on the 1981-1982 team that played and defeated Alabama in the Cotton Bowl.
Eric says to Shay, “All the time, I never got nervous when I was playing, but when you’re watching your kid, it’s a passive role, so I get way more nervous. ” Eric is proud of Shay for more than just sports. She also has her finance degree and is working on her master’s degree.
