HORNS ???? UP!!!!

Hey Billy!  I hope all is well with you and the family.   I was deeply saddened to hear about Charlie.  I had the pleasure of visiting with Charlie a couple years ago.  Drove out to Hondo and spent a little time with him over a chicken fried steak lunch at Hermann Sons.  Talked life, Texas football and a lot about his old teammates.   We also talked about him making it to Austin for alumni weekend to see all you guys.  I told him if he was feeling up to it to let me know and I would help out however needed to make it happen.   Also, while in Hondo that day (after some back and forth) he wouldn’t let me pay for lunch.   He said “My town, my treat. Next time in Austin, you pay!”, which I replied thanking him and told him when he comes to Austin I will gladly return the favor and treat him to lunch/dinner.   Sadly now neither one of those will happen.

Please keep me updated on the celebration of life to honor him.   I would love to attend and celebrate Charlie.

Thank you, Billy for TLSN and all the updates.
