Tony Jeffery has had a hemorrhagic stroke

Recently, Tony Jeffery suffered a stroke and a challenging road to recovery through rehabilitation is on the horizon. Unfortunately, Tony does not have insurance, and his rehab bills are estimated to reach $200,000.

To support Tony, friends have set up a GoFundMe account with a goal of raising the full amount. As of November 15, 2025, at 2 PM, Tony has received over $60,000 in donations. Mack Brown is offering his heartfelt support to help one of his player.

Tony Jeffery was a wide receiver for the Texas Longhorns from 2000 to 2004 and later became a coach at Texas, UTSA, and the University of Houston. His career spans playing in one of Texas’s most iconic eras and helping build programs as a coach from 2006 to 2014, including stints at Texas, UTSA, and Houston.

He played in the 2005 Rose Bowl, where Texas defeated Michigan 38–37.

Tony took part in eight Bowl games, both as a player and as a coach. His prominent pupils at Texas were Quan Cosby, Aaron Ross, Hunter Lawrence, Jordan Shipley, and Limas Sweed.

TLSN’s mission is not to leave any former Longhorn student-athlete behind when tragedy strikes.

If you would like to donate you can send donations to https://gofund.me/7d8c93296 or the TLSN Tax exempt 501 (c) (3) at the link Donation Form – Texas Legacy Support Network
